After agreeing an option agreement with a partial derelict house in situ at 41 Linden Grove, London. SE15 3LW, the council granted planning permission for 9 new Passivhaus apartments.
All units have double aspect, receive ample sunlight and have extensive views over London and the green space of the Nunhead Cemetery.
As access to nature becomes more important for residents we have prioritised this throughout the design. Large balconies will create a welcoming and domestic atmosphere to the living spaces whilst a very large and well landscaped communal
garden will provide residents meaningful access to
shared outdoor space.
At an urban scale the building respects eave lines and is carefully positioned on the site. Soft landscaping is maximised to the front of the building and any hard landscaped areas are covered in permeable ‘Grasscrete’ paving. The existing tree at the front of the site is retained and given renewed prominence within the frontage.
